Meet The Knittel Brothers

Dave is the oldest Knittel brother. He’s an avid Philadelphia Union, Liverpool, and US National Team supporter. He’s originally from Philly but now resides in Silicon Valley with his wife. Formerly a box-to-box center midfielder, he’s been known to still kick it around in pickup games or coed rec leagues in the Bay Area. He keeps himself busy with the Bros Talking Soccer podcast in addition to being the founder of Fan Futsal, a simplified fantasy soccer website, and making videos about the history, culture, and philosophy of the beautiful game on his YouTube channel The Soccer Tavern. He collects soccer scarves from his travels and, as you can see, he is very proud of his collection.

Christian is the “middle Knittel” brother. He is a Liverpool, FC Barcelona, US National Team, and Philadelphia Union supporter. He’s a proud SOB (Sons of Ben member) and Union season ticket holder. He still tears it up on the pitch for Colonial Soccer Club, a team in the Philadelphia suburbs, as a utility player. His ability to play all 11 positions has likened him to James Milner among his friends and teammates. He spends most of his time playing, coaching, refereeing, and watching soccer. Playing FIFA (Xbox Live name - Mighty Reds Kop), specifically co-op seasons or pro clubs, is another frequent activity for Christian to keep up with his soccer passion. Christian is a Penn State Alumni and loves to go visit Happy Valley any chance he gets. He is currently working as an accountant for a FinTech company. Christian is also able to write a longer and better autobiography than Dave.

Matt is the youngest Knittel brother. He’s a US National Team & Man City supporter and a recent graduate of Penn State. He recently moved to Houston and works in the energy sector. He likes lifting, playing video games, and watching lots of soccer. Formerly an attacking midfielder, he'll still play some pickup now and then.
